photoshop workshop - vignetting

 vignetting is a way to create a soft boarder. to start. click the "brush" tool. select the boarder colour. change the brush size and set the opacity to 100%.  

now add a new layer. to draw the boarder press shift and press the mouse then drag the mouse down the image.





 to blur the boarder into the image. go to filter, blur and press gaussian blur. now a box will appear and from here you can change the boarder. by changing the radius

photoshop workshop - layering and layers. opacity, overlay and screen

there are many forms of layering and layers
one way is to overlay an image over another.
to do this drag a image over another and re size the image to cover the whole of the other image.


now select overlay
 now you can allow the other image to come through, you do this by changing the opacity.

to use screen change normal or overlay to screen. as seen below.


levels, brightness and contrast

to change the brightness of your images on photoshop. you can use levels or brightness/contrast

to use brightness/contrast go. image, adjustments then brightness/contrast.

here more the arrows to change the brightness :) then when your ok with it press ok.

the other way is to use levels.

go image, adjustments then levels

a box will appear. to change the level of brightness/contrast more the arrows a cross, when happy press ok.

photoshop workshop- Final Image

photoshop workshop- Adding borders to images and chaning the back ground colour

to add a border to your images you first select the "edit" tool then click stroke. after this a box will presented where you can choose the colour and width of the border.

to change the background colour, select the "fill" tool and pick the colour for the background then press ok. after this click on the background to change the colour.

photoshop workshop- rotating background

to rotate a file in photoshop. go to the "image" tool, select image rotation. now select how you wish the file to be rotated. for example 90 degrees clockwise, or flip canvas vertical

photoshop workshop- opening new file in photoshop

to open a new file go to file, then new. after this a box will appear. select international paper, then select size of the file i.e A3. after that press ok and you will have a new plain file of the size you selected :)
